Tingly Sichuan Pepper Cashew (3.5oz)
After the buzz of our Tingly Peanuts, we knew we had to keep exploring. Peanuts are classic—but for many, off-limits. So when we stumbled upon a cashew prototype at a trade show in Singapore, we knew instantly: this one tingled. Not in the gimmicky way most Sichuan pepper snacks do, but with real depth, real citrusy buzz, and that unmistakable floral hum we love.
Meet Tingly Cashews—a whole new experience of nut. Rooted in everything you loved about our peanuts, these buttery cashews unlock new layers of flavor, letting the Sichuan pepper’s brightness, warmth, and numbing sparkle shine even more vividly.
What makes them special:
-
Authentic tingle, no burn — the citrusy buzz of real Sichuan pepper, not chili heat
-
Roasted, never fried — clean, buttery texture with a satisfying snap
-
Vegan by design — coated with yam powder, not egg white
-
Layered flavor — savory-sweet, aromatic, and gently electric
-
Snackable anywhere — on hikes, with drinks, over yogurt, in ice cream, or straight from the bag
- Crafted using dual-coating, small-batch techniques — these cashews are tingle-forward, aromatic, and wildly addictive.
Welcome to the newest member of the 50Hertz Tingly Family. Let the buzz begin.
Ingredients: Cashews, Sugar, Corn Oil, Crushed Green Sichuan Pepper, Salt, Yam Powder, Pea Protein Powder, Monosodium Glutamate, Chili Powder
Size: 100g
1. Sichuan pepper has zero heat and is not spicy at all! People confuse it because it is often paired with chili peppers and Chili is the one that brings the heat
2. Sichuan pepper is not a pepper, it comes from the citrus family
3. These dried Sichuan peppers are actually not peppercorn. They’re the dried husk of the Sichuan pepper berry and not the black seed that is found inside of it.
4. Sichuan pepper is not just from Sichuan, it’s from a bunch of other places
5. The correct name for it is actually flower pepper which is a direct translation from the chinese term hua jiao
I’m already a voracious consumer of 50Hertz’s Tingly Peanuts, so when the new Tingly Cashews landed, I ripped the bag open with the enthusiasm of someone expecting a familiar favorite. Instead, I discovered an entirely different flavor universe.
Where the peanuts are bold and straightforward, the Tingly Cashews are their elegant, slightly mischievous counterpart. The moment you open the bag, a vibrant green Sichuan pepper aroma rises up—bright, citrusy, and unmistakably 50Hertz. The cashews themselves are plush and buttery, but what really sets them apart is the seasoning: a soft floral zing, a whisper of sweetness, and that signature tingle that builds in waves rather than a single punch.
It’s yin and yang, night and day, jazz versus rock—related, but with their own undeniable swagger.
The result is dangerously munchable. I told myself I’d have a handful; I did not have a handful. These cashews are the kind of snack that disappears while you’re still convincing yourself you’re in control.
And as always with 50Hertz, the quality behind the flavor shines through. Their Sichuan pepper is hand-picked, manually sorted, no black seeds, with a bright color and potent aroma that makes every bite feel alive.
In short:
A completely different personality from the Tingly Peanuts—more nuanced, more aromatic, and absolutely addictive. A must-try for anyone who loves the 50Hertz tingle.
A bit less tingly than the Szechuan peanuts sold by this company but still well done. Recommended.
Love the cashews!
